One of the Bridge Project Managers, Ms. Bobae Lee, at Naphini CLCOne of the Bridge Project Managers, Ms. Bobae Lee, at Naphini CLCNaphini Community Learning Centre (CLC) is located in Mlima village, Group Village Head (GVH) Mtogolo, Traditional Authority (T/A) Malemia, Domasi, Zomba. Its name comes from a tree called naphini in local language. With support from the Korea National Commission for UNESCO (KNCU) under the Bridge Programme, the Centre has been providing learning opportunities to the people in surrounding villages since 2010. The local leadership and members of the community have been trained and they demonstrate strong ownership in the management of the Centre. Currently, 500 students are registered at Naphini Centre comprising 60 students at nursery level/early childhood development (ECD), 420 students for part-time (after-school class) for primary school level pupils and 20 learners studying in the adult literacy class. Naphini has the largest enrolment among the CLCs in the eight Bridge partner countries.

One of the activities undertaken in 2016/17 was  the training for Naphini CLC Management Committee members in use of ICT.  As part of enhancing the knowledge and skills of the management team of Naphini CLC in the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), a training course in computer was organised.  Training content covered the following areas: Introduction to Computer Systems; Microsoft Windows XP and windows 7 and 8; Microsoft Office Word 2007, Excel 2007 and Power Point 2007; Internet and E-mails.  At the end of the training, a laptop computer, a printer, and a solar power system were donated to Naphini CLC to enhance their use of ICT.
